A director, cinematographer and editor. His films 《呼啸的金属》, 《花朵》, 《瓦全》 and 《孤城》 have together won more than sixty international awards. 《绛红森林》 received the Grand Jury Prize at the 41st Hawai‘i International Film Festival and a documentary Special Jury Award at the 48th Seattle International Film Festival, and was nominated for Best Documentary at both the 58th Golden Horse Awards and the 46th Hong Kong International Film Festival. He is currently at work on the fiction feature 《我们卑微的灵魂》 and on an online documentary teaching series. In 2025 he received a Career Achievement Award in Shitang.
